Chantilly by Caroline Baldock

A String of Race Horse in Chantilly

Time passes in Chantilly
Like a string of racehorses
Their hooves beating out a tattoo in time to life.
Beneath a canopy of starts the old and young
Star gazers - searching for Stars,
Breathe common breath in being always hopeful.
Chance bought us here,
Chance will make our fortunes
If the stars are on our side.
If time separates generations, being horse lovers
binds them.
Those moments alone, wind and mane in our faces
The thunder of hooves in our souls,
There is only oneness, one is never alone,
A great heart pulses here
with Pure Blood,
We are the cells which flow and serve
and die
and are renewed.
