Cock Pricker

This item came from South Hatch, Burgh Heath Rd, Epsom, when it was a club and a restaurant run the Heather Pitt, wife to the racehorse trainer Arthur Pitt.  When the South Hatch was sold I purchased a collection of items from the museum.

This may not be in the correct category but it is difficult to know quite where to put it. The circular leather shield has spikes on the inside. When fitted to a stallion, if he gets excited and has an erection the spikes would put him off somewhat. Probably used on a teaser. A teaser is a stallion introduced to a mare to see is she is ready to be covered.
