Jockey: Johnny Dines

johnny-dinesJohnny Dines rode Jean’s Dream to Victory in the Manchester November Handicap of 1933 in Mr. A Boazman’s colours. He was apprenticed to the Irish trainer, J. Musker, and rode over 500 winners during five seasons in Ireland before coming to England and joining J Killalee’s stable at Epsom.

Dines gave a perfect exhibition of horsemanship when he won the 1927 Cesarewitch on Eagle’s Pride, and later when successful on Double Life. In 1934 he won the Lincolnshire Handicap on Play On, and the Liverpool Cup on Gay Dancer.
