Quite full Sir! 1833
This is a lovely painting of an incident which would have occurred so often. A man and his wife set off in their Post Chaise to catch the Stage Coach. No booking office where they are in the country and when they get to the appointed spot and the Stage arrives it is full!
It is such a bucolic scene, and so beautifully painted. I love the all matching, long necked horses. So much to love about this. It is good to know that some things don’t change.
The painter has signed it but it is difficult to read it looks like, Time, Zime, or Sime or Tinne.
